Is there a question you have always wanted to ask a top sommelier?
I will be hosting a roundtable discussion during the World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection event next year – and I want to put the best questions from Canopy readers to them.
Do you want to know about the ideal bottle size, the latest trends in wine pairings or their thoughts on the best closures? Do you want their advice for getting on wine lists in restaurants in the 50 Best list? Do you want to know if there’s a dish for which they are struggling to find a suitable wine pairing?
This is your chance to put your questions to 30 of the world’s best sommeliers, including Josep Roca, co-owner and sommelier at the three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Spain. In case you haven’t heard of this exciting new event, here is a brief rundown of the World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection:

• Thirty of the world’s best sommeliers have been recruited to compile a special wine list for sommeliers around the world.
• The sommeliers on the selection panel come from restaurants on the 50 Best list. They include Tina Kragh Vildgaard of Jordnaer (Copenhagen), Raphael Reichardt (above) of Tim Raue (Berlin), Agnese Morandi of Table by Bruno Verjus (Paris), Rodrigo Briseño of Disfrutar (Barcelona), Nina Højgaard Jensen of Alchemist (Copenhagen), Diego Vásquez Luque of Central and Kjolle (Lima), Tam Chaisiri Tassanakajohn of Nusara (Bangkok), Jhonel Faelnar of Atomix (New York), Lorenzo Lentini of Ikoyi (London), and Jean-Trésor Vets of The Jane (Antwerp).
