Josep Roca, sommelier at the three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Spain, and 30 other renowned sommeliers are compiling The World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection wine list.
It’s the ultimate wine list and being among these prestigious wines could open many doors for aspiring, talented winemakers (as well as their labels).
The wines selected for the list will go on a dedicated website, World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection, and be highlighted on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Discovery and World’s Best Vineyards Explore sites.
The list – with extensive tasting notes and some food pairing recommendations – will also be shared with thousands of sommeliers around the world.
This opportunity to get your wines known among the crème de la crème of sommeliers is a new offer from William Reed, the company behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and World’s Best Vineyards (and also owner of Canopy).
The selection process will be presided over by maestro of pairings Josep Roca, from Girona’s El Celler de Can Roca, which has been named the world’s best restaurant twice. Josep was also the winner of the inaugural Beronia World’s Best Sommelier Award at the 2022 edition of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Alongside Josep, William Reed has recruited 30 international sommeliers from its extensive network within The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. They include Tina Kragh Vildgaard (above) of Jordnaer (Copenhagen), Raphael Reichardt of Tim Raue (Berlin), Agnese Morandi of Table by Bruno Verjus (Paris), Rodrigo Briseño of Disfrutar (Barcelona), Nina Højgaard Jensen of Alchemist (Copenhagen), Diego Vásquez Luque of Central and Kjolle (Lima), Tam Chaisiri Tassanakajohn of Nusara (Bangkok), Jhonel Faelnar of Atomix (New York), Lorenzo Lentini of Ikoyi (London), and Jean-Trésor Vets (below) of The Jane (Antwerp). See the full list of tasters here.

The sommeliers will taste each wine, paired with a detailed account of the rich narrative behind each bottle. It’s not a blind tasting; the tasting is conducted completely open so the sommeliers know exactly what they have in their glasses, who produced it and the story behind the wine.
